The Green Himalayan Social Welfare Society fight for justice to the Women , Children & Environment’s rights. In response to the violation of the rights of women, children in Uttarakhand, TGHSWS created with aim of promoting social justice, equity and harmony. The Green Himalayan Social Welfare Society focuses on both, marginalized people in our society, like indigenous people, small and marginal farmers, women and children, as well as the preservation of our rich and diverse nature. Our goal is the formation of a more just and peaceful society based on social justice, legality, equity and ecological awareness through the socio-economic development of rural areas in Uttarakhand. Activities include the promotion of education, strengthening community-based protection through education and skills development.

We work on Environment which is  a one concern where humanity has to take stern actions for its preservation and revival. Human race is evolving hence its needs for resources is also increasing, we are consuming on a very higher rate as per the previous era but in comparison to our consumption rate and revival of natural resources in very slow, there is a vast difference in that and our environment from which we are taking so much is under pressure and taking a heavy tool because of our development process.

The Organization aspires with the evangelical end eave our to proceed for a society where the moral values and good principles of life living would be followed. The evils will be perished away and the people will live with justice, equity, dignity and peace where mutual trust love , affection, mutual respect, sisterhood and brotherhood will be maintained and honored.

Objectives of the Organization:

 

  1. To work with the poor and marginalized section of the society especially women and children on the issue of their rights and livelihood security.

  2. To work for sustainable development practices in the rural areas ensuring women empowerment at all stages.

  3. To work for the promotion of education , health and skill development for the people in general and women and children in particular.

  4. Empowering the rural women through micro-finance and micro  entrepreneurship development program.

  5. To do all social welfare activities including public health and education and other development works of the locality in the interests of public service.
